Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She is currently the president and owner-controller of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. A California native Buss grew up in an affluent family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon, and later the owner of Lakers as well as other companies. The emotional strain she felt was exacerbated as her parents divorced in the year 1972. When she was 19 years old, she joined the family business as the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. The team was later renamed the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. The position she held was the president for Great Western Forum prior to being elected vice-president of the Lakers. Buss along with her five siblings and brothers as well as their father who was the owner of the Lakers and was their controlling shareholder up to his passing away in 2013, received the ownership via the trust. The five siblings enjoyed equal voting rights. she assumed the duties of the head for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is the owner of Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles which is an organization that promotes pro wrestling.
