Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name of Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was birthed within Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. The father of her Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father was from a Jewish family Ryder considers herself Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are her half-siblings. Ryder moved with her family members to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. The family resided in an area without electricity. Ryder was a consummate read and often spent her time reading books as there was no television. Ryder began to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12 years old. In the year she turned 15, Ryder landed her first acting job on the screen in Lucas. Ryder was subject to bullying in highschool. Her thought was that by becoming an actor her behaviour was going to be corrected. Unfortunately that didn't come to happen. However, she pushed on with her goal. In 1988, it was the year that Tim Burton released Beetlejuice that she got her big break. Ryder went on to have success in roles. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one for The Age of Innocence (1996).
