Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to notoriety after she released her first album Age Ain't Nothing More Than an Number in 1994. At the time, she was just 15 years old. when the album was released and it went on to become Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring her into the spotlight. In 1996, Jermaine and Timbaland released Aaliyah's second album One In A Million. It contained If Your Girls Only Knew, the single that was most popular. Aaliyah was recognized internationally for her work as an R&B artist with the launch of her second album One in a Million. In 2000, she was on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an awards ceremony. In 2002, she was able to be part of the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was based on the Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels was her debut role. The Matrix Sequels. She was also in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2007). She was nominated four times for Grammys, in 1999, 2001 and 2002. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is a first-generation Indian-American who was born in Connecticut. The stage name Mann is derived from her marriage name Mankad. Aarti Magnumdar, her professional name, but she is also known as Aarti Magumdar for her stage name. Her acting career began in early 2000 with small roles on TV and films. Other notable works she has done comprise Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. The actress has been featured in a variety of commercials including Volvo's international car maker. Her home is with her family in Los Angeles with her husband as well as her daughter, and will continue to pursue an acting profession.
